15.What is wellness?

In learning to listen to the body we can align desires with goals and achieve resilience, health and wellness.

 Feb 16, 2022

For me, wellness means resilience.  The past 6 months of working on my wellness has paid off.  Our house was hit with covid early in February and this has been a testament to my new found resilience.  The symptoms were not great including high fever, body aches, foggy thoughts and head pressure.  The name of the game was treating the symptoms and letting the body rest and recover. Having a fever is not fun, anyone who knows me, knows napping in the middle of the day is not my thing.  This was all a real adjustment for my rhythm. After about 10 days I began feeling better.

This was a test in resilience and self-care.

Despite having challenges there is FUN and EXCITING NEWS!!!

I have been working on obtaining a Wellness Coach Certification through Mayo Clinic.  I am 6 weeks into the 12-week course. In mid May 2022 I will be taking on about 20 clients and by late 2022 I will be a Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach.

I am looking forward to bringing these new skills and tools to my daily life.  There is a great need for people to manage their own health.  We need to empower ourselves, listen to the knowing inside and honor it.  The body is a self-regulating organism continuously moving toward homeostasis always searching for balance.  In learning to listen and align desires with goals we can achieve resilience, health and wellness.

I am so grateful for my strong support system !!
