17. Movement vs Mother Nature

One of the foundational pieces to my wellness journey is movement.

This time, last year I was doing zero, zip, nothing in the way of exercise.

Turns out the mind and body really like it when you get the heart pumping for like 15-20 minutes per day. Who knew?

I started with a 10 minute HIIT workout for the 50+ age group. Baby STEPS!

And, I didn’t actually do the exercise on the first day, I just watched.

On the second day I stood up and watched lol yep, baby steps

One of the biggest challenges was finding a way to fit movement into my daily life.

I prefer daily walks outside.

The fact is our weather is not great for daily outdoor walks.

Once I accepted this fact and started finding ways to move indoors I was able to build flexibility into my daily movement. Here are a few ideas to get moving even when the wind in blowing 100mph or the temp is -20.
